You do not have to be fluent or know Spanish by any means. However, it is encouraged that you try the basics. Hondurans really appreciate your attempt to fit in with their culture. You can download Duolingo or another free application to help learn the basics.
In addition to some Spanish-speakers in our group, we will have Spanish interpreters available in Honduras.
